JT Skids

JT Skids use the Joule-Thomson effect to cool natural gas, which typically produces liquids. This will reduce the hydrocarbon dew point of the gas, which can help a client meet a sales specification. While they are deceptively simple in operation, no rotating parts, JT’s have their own idiosyncrasies that need to be considered when selecting them for your conditions.  At JRS, we’ve been working with JT skids over thirty years. We’ve sized, fabricated, refurbished, started-up, operated and troubleshooted hundreds of JT skids, from 250M/scfd to 180MM/scfd. Our JT skids are purposely designed for conditioning gas and the efficiency shows, a JRS JT Skid will require less pressure drop than our competitors JT skids.
